This rare and all original 1959 Chevy Apache "Big window" 32 Fleetside Deluxe truck in amazing all restored condition.
How often do you see a 59 Apache in this super original and all restored condition? Not often we think. Its also a very rare Fleetside 32 Deluxe truck that was restored with high quality in mind and it's equipped with its original V8 drive lineand original manual transmission which makes it even more rare! It is on the no.6 spot of most wanted and rarest trucks around today and this one is one of the best and most original!
The Truck is painted in the factory correct gorgeous Cardinal red color and has its original restored two-tone interior in place as well. The engine and transmission were rebuilt to factory original specs and all the cars drive train components, brakes, steering, suspension and electrics were also taken apart, restored and this truck just drives as nice today as it did more than 50 years ago. The restoration and rebuild costs alone are much higher than our asking price and that's with the price of the Truck not even included. So for this money you cannot ever restore one. Its turn key all the way.
The 1958/59 Chevy fleetside trucks were sleek and different than there predecessors with their dual headlights and very sleek and unique and beautiful design. It was the first year for new Fleetside bed (called Wideside by GMC) in 6.5 ft (2.0 m) and 8 ft (2.4 m) lengths, significant redesign of front end. All light-duty trucks are now called "Apache", medium-duty trucks called "Viking", and heavy-duty trucks called "Spartan" and besides there dual headlights the featured a shorter, wider grille running the width of the front end.
Parking lights are now in the grille instead of being in the front of the fender and the hood is similar to 1955/1956 models, but with a flat "valley" in the middle. The rear was very clean with 2 round headlights that popped out of the rear fender styled bullet design and the look great. For 1958, GM was promoting their fiftieth year of production, and introduced Anniversary models for each brand; Cadillac, Buick, Oldsmobile, Pontiac, and Chevrolet. (4) The trucks also received similar attention to appearance, while staying essentially durable, with minimal adornment. The 1959 model might well be the more desirable model as the received some upgraded style features.
The 1959 Chevrolet Apache was equipped either with Chevrolet's 235 Thriftmaster straight 6-cylinder engine. The other so-called Task Force pickups the increased bore of the small-block V-8 that brought the displacement up to 283-cid. Horsepower increased to 185-horsepower. Five transmissions were available: three-speed, heavy-duty three-speed, three-speed with overdrive, four-speed, or GM's Hydra-matic automatic.
Most sold trucks were the short bed 31 Trucks with a straight 6-cylinder engine as the V8 was too expensive for most farmers or Company's. The truck we present to you here is the higher optioned V8 and it has a manual 3 speed on the column transmission. It is also a rare 32 Truck with the sleek and longer bed, but its still a 1/2 ton truck. This means its one of the best Trucks to have as it drives way better than the ridged shorter trucks as the wheelbase
Is also a tad longer.
Just look at the pictures and you see the quality of the restoration work that was performed. All the original parts are still there and the chrome shines like the day it left the factory! The interior is also restored in factory as new condition and everything functions as it should. Dint you just fall in love with that two-tone interior colors and 2 tone steering wheel? Stepping in ton this amazing truck really takes you straight back to the 50s! The only thing that was changed on the truck are its painted Chevy rally wheels with white striped tires, but the only add to the trucks charm and give it a little Hot rod flair.
The truck bed floor was also restored to original condition and the wood rack (removable) make the truck look even more classic. This truck also really drives good and it would make a great asset to any car collection or shop-display truck. You just don't find them as original as this one anymore. The 58/59 Apache trucks are amongst the most iconic trucks ever build, and we can only agree to that.
We just love this truck as its in super great all original condition and driving it brings just great joy with its V8 rumble under the hood and anybody who loves these trucks will agree on that. If you are looking for a very original truck that's a real collectors item and investment grade material, but that can also be driven and enjoyed, well that this might well be the truck for you!
