This gorgeous and restored true 1969 Dodge Coronet Superbee in the great looking factory original FB5 Blue metallic paint and with a bright and clean looking and rare white interior. A perfect combination and fully factory correct and Vin numbered on all the right places. Very rare and highly collectible. The 1969 Coronet Superbee might well be one of the best looking Mopar B.Body cars's ever designed. Equipped with its special dual headlight front grill, newly designed taillight panel and the famous and smooth looking coke bottle design this car looks stunning.
The fact that this particular Superbee is also equipped with the desirable Airgrabber air intake system with the dual hood scoops and many other additional options makes it even more wanted. The fresh rebuild but factory original, numbers matching! 383-4bbl engine with 335 factory HP in combination with its correct Vin numbered performance 727TF automatic trans and 8 3/4 rear axle made these car's famous back in the late 60's and very compatible on the most heads-up stopsign race's. The Superbee was the answer for Dodge to the successful Plymouth Roadrunner by its sister company Plymouth. And both carried the same B.Body undercarriage and had the same driveline's but other than that these were two completely different looking and performing cars. We feel the Superbee is a great looking car and the design was much more aggressive than that of the sister car. But in the end, both Mopar's were fast and very desirable car's back then as well as they are still today.
The car we present to you here is a correct Superbee Hardtop coupe (WM code) and the car was restored at some point in its life and it still looks great. The body and structure are all completely rust free and appears to be all untouched and original to the car. The trunk floor, however, was replaced at some point in its life but that's a well-known Mopar issue and its great to see that this car has it already replaced in the correct factory style. The underside of the car is very clean and factory correct and the engine K.Member and all its suspension components and A.Arms are all in very good and clean condition also. Also very original is its driveline and all other options and components. A rarity in itself because many of these cars were raced and abused hard in those days and many lost their originality and had there engine's replaced over time and many of these cars were abused or wrecked. But not this car which makes it rare for sure even besides its rare color combination and factory extra cost options.
The paint on this laser straight car is very nice, has a great shine and really stands out in the sun. It doe have some minor usage damages and it's not perfect show paint, but its absolutely in great condition with a great shine and perfect for guys who understand these classic cars and want to use and drive it. All the chrome, trim, emblems and decals are also all there and in great shape. The car is also equipped with blue tinted glass that really tops things off. The light color interior makes this car fresh and clean looking and gives a very spacious feel as well. It is a great combination and the interior is in very good condition as well as the headliner, carpets and door panels. The rally dash and its gauges are also in great shape and everything is functional.
The car was originally produced at the Lynch road Chrysler plant and it still has its factory original fender tag in place as well as all the correct body and engine Vin code stamps, its the real deal. The car drives amazing and feels just like it drove back in the late 60's as the car is very original still. The car needs no work and everything is serviced, checked and functional. A 1969 Superbee is a car you don't see oft, especially an original car in its factory original condition and with all its factory original pieces still in place and in this good-looking bright color combination.
This car is a great investment for your money and also highly collectible, but its biggest strongpoints might well be that the car is in very good technical condition as well. It drives really good and there are no flaws. It's not your average classic American car, its a great classic in near perfect condition. The complete suspension, fuel, brake, and steering system is as new and this car will get you many thumbs up from everybody everywhere you take it. Its absolute strongpoint is its originality, its untouched body panels, and its stunning appearance and color combination, combined with the fact that its rebuild to be driven and enjoyed. The car is fast and with its factory power steering and power front disc brakes it handles very well.
If you love the 69'Coronets and especially a true numbers matching Superbee, than this is absolutely the car for you and it's also priced very attractive for a car in this overall good and original condition.
