Bodywork & Trim

Very solid and rust free body, floors and structure and a nice paint job in the correct 1970 factory color with great shine, but not perfect. The chrome is really nice and so is all trim and glass. The emblems and Judge decals all appear as new and make the car stand out. The vinyl top is also in very good condition with minor wear. All in all this car looks really nice, clean and the floors are also clean and have no rust. The trunk area has the correct GM coating and looks completely rust free.

Correct rebuild HO 455 engine with 485428 casting block with ram air intake and around 360 factory hp, but it's been upgraded with some additional performance parts and now produces around 425HP. The car is equipped with the factory original exhaust manifolds and dual exhausts with flow master mufflers. A real healthy and strong running engine ! The engine was leak down and compression tested by PTTM and appears in as new overall condition

Muncie 4 speed with hipo clutch and pressure plates in very good condition, Pontiac / GM rear axle with diff and upgraded suspension system and power steering. Everything here is in good and functional condition.

Very nice interior with black de luxe bucket seats with headrests, nice black carpeting and the door panels and dash are all in very good shape. The dash pad has no cracks and the woodgrain also looks nice and clean. The car is also equipped with floor console and a functional race style Hood tacho that works. All in all a very clean and nice interior.

General discription

In our showroom now!

This gorgeous 1970 Pontiac fastback in GTO "The Judge" outfit with fast and famous HO 455 performance Bigblock and 4 speed ! with floor shifter, console, and black bucket seat interior. Its been completely rebuild and comes with all the correct Judge details and the correct HO 455 engine and drivetrain so it's not just a car with Judge colors and badges, it is a real correct tribute car that was done correctly and has all the correct Judge features and factory paint color. An amazing and beautiful car with Judge stripes and details and a fantastic looking color combination in the correct carousel red color with the optional black vinyl top that makes the car stand out even more.

The 1970 GTO Judge was a rare sight on the streets! With a total of around 3600 GTO Judges build (all engine combinations combined) you almost never saw one life back then. The Judge package was only available when you bought a GTO and it was an extra 10% cost option that gave you additional features such as the rear spoiler package, judge decals, and emblems and an improved suspension system. As with all GTO's in 1970 the engine options were either the 400cui in 2-3 different versions with and without the Ram air intake and camshaft packages. But the top of the line engine you could order in the GTO for sure was the HO 455 cui (7600 cc) big block with around factory 360HP and an amazing 677 ft.lbs of torque.

These 455 HO engines were very well designed and made these cars not only fast but because of the high torque, the produced the were also very well designed, strong and civilized. The also ran very smooth and had almost no mechanical noises. It might well be that Pontiac (or GM's) 455 engine is one of the smoothest and best-designed street performance engines of that era. With this car being a 4 speed its a fast and great car on the streets, because as you might well know, automatic trans cars can lose up to 35% of the engine crank power to the rear axle as were a 4 speed might only lose 5%.

Besides that, a true performance car like this one needs a 4-speed and is great fun to drive as you can choose any shift moment you like, which makes your 0-60 times better and overall performance is improved as well.  From the total production of 1970 GTO's only around 1700 units were built with the 455 HO engine and manual 4-speed combination and if you look at the Judge production numbers this would mean that only a total of around 300 Judge's built with this engine. Divide that into automatic trans and 4 speed's, maybe only around? 100+ 4 speed HO 455's Judge's ever built.

So this car you see here was build after these very rare cars and that makes it great fun to own and enjoy.  If this car was the real deal the price tag might well have been well over 175000,- as they are very rare and highly desirable indeed. But this car is only priced at a fraction of those car's and this car can be really used and enjoyed and won't disappear in a museum or close private collection. But this car was build to be driven and enjoyed and everything you see is either restored or in very nice original condition. It is not over-restored or in concourse condition, but its absolutely a nice quality car with driver status. Great fun car for its price!

You cant build one for this money.  Its also equipped with many great additional options such as power steering and power disc brakes, airco and much more. This car is a real head turner and drives very well.

For this money its a great car with many additional options and features that will for sure give his new owner many years of pleasure and thumbs up everywhere he takes it. Completely restored and rust-free car!

  • Guide: Matching numbers

In the collector car hobby, most investment-minded buyers are acutely interested in a specific car’s history. One of the main aspects of that history is an original or, as most people state it, numbers-matching drivetrain. At pedaltothemetal muscecars we feature a plethora of original and numbers-matching classics including ‘Cudas, Road Runners, Chevelles, Camaros, Corvettes and Trans Ams. And, if a potential buyer knows how to properly identify and interpret certain manufacturing codes, they can further validate their car’s history, or on request we can provide it.

  • Vehicle claims and descriptions

Vehicle/product descriptions, representations and claims on or offline are based on what can be seen by the human eye, documentation, previous professional experience, opinion, factory claims, and, or, information passed on to us by previous owners or restorers. It's to the best of our knowledge that everything we advertise has all indications of being that claim. Please inquire as to what documentation we have on the vehicle you are purchasing or feel free to ask any additional questions you might have, But by no means you can accept our answers as facts as the are our interpretation and might not match yours. So please feel free to verify that in person or with a third party.

Pttm goes a step further than almost every other seller(s), as we also do a full inspection of our vehicles prior to having them for sale in our showroom and make repairs improvements if needed so. And when a vehicle/product is sold we give it a full service check before you receive it !
