This gorgeous 1969 Chevy Camaro SS with Yenko badging and details is equipped with the highly desirable performance and correct style and year 396 Big block with great power and a 4 speed! Manual transmission which gives great additional driving fun. It is a rock solid car, completely restored inside underside and outside with 69' original style Hugger orange paint, Yenko stripes and decals and a very all restored original style black bucket seat interior.
As most of you know Don Yenko was a Chevy car dealer that upgraded more or less base and stock Camaro's Nova and Chevelle's to high-performance cars that had a tremendous power and were feared on the streets in the late 60s and early 70s. He putts 396 and 427 performance engines in street cars and upgraded other details such as suspension and steering parts and equipped the cars with the famous Yenko stripes, logos, and details.
Chevrolet never offered their best and truly high-performance engine's in street cars but only in the factory Copo cars that were only built and sold for race purpose's, but were not for sale for the public or street use. The combination of a 4-speed manual transmission with a true performance big block is amazing and offers great fun to the driver, as much as as it does today. A manual 4 speed is great fun to drive.
It also brings much more power to the rear wheels as the classic automatic transmissions can lose up to 35% of the crank HP to the rear axle, as were a 4 speed might only lose 5%. It also gives you the ability to change gears whenever you want and not when the transmission feels like doing it. That, in combination with the 3.00 rear end gear ratio of this car, you also not only have great and low highway speed rpm, but you also have the ability to use the power of this big block in great 0-60mph times at the stop signs.
The monster torque of these well-designed performance big block is amazing and gives you a great feel and "kick in the butt" when you put the pedal to the metal! Yes, sir, this Yenko tribute is not only there for the looks. It is also really fast! These Yenko build Chevy's were amongst the fastest street cars around. Many of the original Yenko cars are now long gone, especially seeing what the where build for all-out performance and so many cars disappeared in the drag racing scene or had accidents and were scrapped. And even back then the price tag for a new Yenko Camaro was almost twice as much as the base model so not many were built and sold.
The very few cars that are left today and are still truly original are now highly collectible and are worth several hundreds of thousands of dollars, or some even bring a million or more. So for most people who dream of ever owning a true Yenko Car is a dream that will sadly stay unfulfilled, but that doesn't mean you can't own a car that comes close to the original car's and might even give you exactly the same fun and performance feel. Like the car, you see below here is a copy of the 69 Yenko Camaro but only costs a fraction of the original cars. No, it is not an exact copy, but it has most of the details the original cars had and also has some same looks and appearance.
The power of the rare and hand build performance Big block is there, the 4-speed manual trans is there, the brakes are upgraded and the interior, as well as the exterior of the car, are also equipped with the correct details and emblems. It is just a fantastic car that will get your thumbs up everywhere you go with it. The car is also completely rebuilt and restored and it is ready for some serious driving. This car can be enjoyed and driven as were the most original Yenko's never see the light of day seeing there so rare and over-expensive.
So all in all, you get a serious glance at what a Yenko car meant back then, but you can also keep a lot of money in your wallet. The car is also equipped with many special performance items, and we believe it was a true and correct big block car, to begin with. The complete drive train and engine are correct and the 396 is a special performance piece that's also from the correct 1969 year and gives as much or even more power than the original Yenko cars. How great is that! The car we show you here is also a real eye-catcher and everything was fully checked and serviced in our shop. We are very proud to be able to offer you this great car for a price you can't even begin building one for yourself.
The car has power disc brakes and power steering and it has a great stance with its new custom alu wheels and wide tires. The underside of this car is as new also and very clean and everything you see, from brakes to suspension system, all chrome and trim, electrical and wiring, paint, decals, trim and chrome everything is as new. It is a very clean and laser straight rust free car. For this money, you won't be able to find a better one. No work needed here, this beauty is ready to be enjoyed. More than 75k (without the car itself) was invested to get this car as mint as it is. And it is now for sale for less than was invested! And for that, you get a great quality car that's completely in as new condition inside and out.
No costs were spared to make it in perfect condition. We personally just love the Hugger orange color with black interior combined with the Yenko stripes as it makes the smooth body lines of the Camaro stand out very well and it is not a color you see at every car meeting or show. The paint on this car has been done professionally and looks great with a good shine. This combined with the great looking new classic style 17-inch alu wheels makes this car stunning to see.
The car is completely restored, has only 100 test miles since it was built and the complete drive line was rebuild as well, and it is ready to be driven and enjoyed, it is a car that needs nothing and fully inspected and approved in our garage. For this price, you buy yourself a complete ready turn key performance car that brings back those glory days of the true and real muscle cars. You can't go wrong there.
