Real deal 1970 Dodge Superbee 4-speed matching numbers & fully restored car! Very solid and original car and fully restored with all matching 383-4bbl big-block engine, factory matching 4 speed and Mopar HD 8 3/4 rear axle with lim slip diff. The complete suspension, steering and brake system are all rebuilt with tons of original new parts up to the new rally wheels with new white letter tires and a completely new exhaust system front to back! This car received a complete restoration and fresh new paint in its factory original color with the correct rare original white C stripe. The body and chassis and frame rails are all rust free and the trunk floor is new, the car is laser straight and everything you see on this car is either new or restored, top to bottom and completely done to original specs!
You won't find a nicer or more original body like this for this money. The paint (base coat, clear coat base metallic) looks amazing and has a great shine! The interior was also completely restored with new legendary interior and carpets and headliner and the dash with the optional Tic-Tac-Toc tach is also fully restored and functional. This is one of the rarest and nicest looking Superbee's we have ever had to pleasure to offer and its as original as can be and numbers matching all the way. It even has its original exhaust manifolds, intake, and carb! And even the rear axle is the factory original piece. The 1970 Dodge Superbee was built as a competitor to its sister car the Plymouth Roadrunner which was also a purpose car build for performance.
The shared the same chassis but the bodies were different. The body of the 70 Superbee was much more special and more aggressive with its unique one year only, special build front bumper that's integrated into the nose-front end design. Something that was a new design feature for the early '70s as it was also applied to other Chrysler models, but also on, for instance, the Pontiac firebird's, very cool car indeed. The smooth "Coke bottle "design of the '60s was still present in the 70' model but after 1970 a completely new body design was introduced and it lost its powerful looking shape once and for all. This Suberbee is the last of the true Muscle Mopar B.Bodies and a true one year ever build model only!
Other special design features are Power bulge hood and sleek tail with special for the Superbee build tail panel. All was topped off withSuperbee emblems and the special Superbee "bee" logos and decals to make the car stand out.
Only 3300 4 speeds were ever built and today maybe 2-300 still exist which makes this car very rare. As it is still, all numbers match after more than 45 years! And in this great bright color and with its options it might well be one of a few in existence today! How rare is that? chances are you won't find the same car on any cars how you attend ever! A car like this, especially a true Superbee is getting very find indeed and they are rarer than for instance a Charger or the Plymouth Roadrunner! The car has the correct forged induction Superbee hood, power steering, 3-speed wiper motor, a Tic Tac Toc, and the ultimate in shifters: the famous HURST pistol-grip shifter and some other nice options. But a Superbee was not meant as a deluxe car, it was built to roam the streets on the hunt for some pray to catch and race against the other streetcars of those days. Just how a real Musclecar should be like!
Therefore the car needed to be light and not overkilled with luxury items. With its 4-speed and 335 factory HP (in reality it was closer to 360-70 HP) This car was a serious opponent and not many cars were faster back in the days. Even today 360 or more HP is still a ton and seeing a 4-speed car brings up to 25% more power to the rear wheels than an automatic it stands its ground even today. The car spins its tires on demand in every gear! And wait! There is more! this car comes with all its correct engine, trans and body Vin numbers in place. And its original fender tag and a part of its factory original Build sheet! it just doesn't get any better than this. The car is truly correct and original and its one of the best around and for this asking price, you can't ever build one or restore one. Let alone find a true all original numbers matching the car with all the correct doc's and paperwork as this car has.
This car is not only a great investment with prices rising and rising for true original numbers match original cars, but its also great fun to drive and enjoy. Its fast and combined with the 4 speed trans its just great fun. For its asking price, you can't even restore a car of this caliber! Let alone find a better or numbers match car. With more than 70k invested in the restoration, this car is for sale for a great price and it's completely ready to be enjoyed and needs nothing.
