Harm's-Ford F150 "THE BOSS" style custom Truck

Ford "The Boss" performance Truck by PTTM

This sad old Ford truck stood outside for several years waiting for a refit or restoration. The Owner turned to PTTM with the request if we could do the project and he told us he wanted it fully restored and upgraded he wants to use it as a promotional truck for the JUMBO supermarket chain in Holland and to drive and enjoy it every now and then.

After we discussed some of our ideas on how the truck should be build and look and could be improved he liked what he heard and was impressed with what he saw in our shop and what we had build before and on the other current projects that we are building. So he handed over the keys and we picked the sad looking '77 Ford F150 truck up from its last resting place and took it into our shop.

We and the owner wanted this truck to be very different and transformed into a kind of Musclecar truck. Something that's not easy with a truck being a truck! So the we designed a Boss & Shelby mustang theme but then transformed it over on a Pick-up truck. Sort of like a Truck that Shelby or Ford could have designed and built in the 70's but never did.

We also designed some additional Eleanor style details in the body to make this big truck look more aggressive and more like a genuine sports truck/car. The only things the owner wanted to stay original was the style of the grill and the mirrors. Allthe other body and chassis details will be changed in many details. The other thing the owner really insisted on was that the car should be painted Ferrari yellow! So who are we to discuss that.

And although it, at first, was not a color we would have picked for the car, we now feel that it turned out very nice, especially combined with the details we will add and design in black, aluminum, and carbon fiber and together with a more bright looking interior. All in all it will be a stunning looking truck for sure in this bright and flashy colors.

We made several studies on how the final result should look and the plan is to make this truck into a one of a kind high-performance truck with classic style drivetrain but with modern day braking and handling, that will carry its original features combined with details of the legendary 70's Shelby's and BOSS mustangs! The complete chassis will be fully upgraded and boxed and lowered.

The truck will receive a modern suspension with air ride and a rack and pinion steering kit, modern brakes, and more special options. The body will get some special Shelby-Boss design features and all the old trim pieces will be removed and the body smoothed. But you will see along the way how the truck will look in the future. Before we can start the car will be dismantled and inspected as the body and chassis and all components are in real bad shape.

The interior of this Custom truck will also be completely custom build by PTTM with special seats, roll cage, custom Mustang style dash with special attometer gauge's. All will be topped off with things like Alcantara leather and aluminum and carbon details. All will receive a special acid bath for removing old rust and paint and afterward the complete car will be coated to give it a lifelong protection against rust and dirt.

Also the old engine an drive line will be taken out and make way for a 555cui, special build Monster BOSS 429 style engine with Kaase-BOSS nine heads and approx 700+HP and a new build high-performance transmission with manual shift kit and with and modern overdrive system.

This will be one amazing custom build truck when it is done!, everything, really EVERYTHING on this build is handmade.. Nothing is untouched or original.

More details and pictures of the design and build will follow during the build.
