General discription

In our showroom now!

1969 Dodge Charger RT with 440 big block and TF727 automatic trans with floor shifter. This car is no clone and the real deal and a true XS coded RT, with its matching numbers driveline! The car is also equipped with many additional factory original options! The car comes with all its papers. The car is completely restored and painted in its highly desirable factory original B5 blue metallic color and it has the factory optional black vinyl top, that combined with the original blue interior makes this car really rare and stand out. No cost was spared to restore the car back to its former and original factory original glory. In this combination and combined with its great factory options list, it's a rare car indeed.

Finding the highly wanted 1968-1970 charger RT's is getting harder and harder, especially a TRUE and honest solid rust-free RT car as there are more clones and tributes than real original cars on the market. The fact that this car is a true RT but also carries its matching number driveline, factory original Vin numbers on the body AND its original fender tag to prove it all, makes this a highly desirable car and very collectible and a super solid investment. With prices of RT's going well over the 100k marker, this rare restored and numbers matching original car is priced attractive and is a very good investment as well.

Prices of these original cars will keep rising for years to come just like they have done for the last decades.

The car is also equipped with many additional extra cost options that most RT cars didn't have or get. Many people think every RT is the same and they all have the same options, but that's far from the truth! as in its base form, the Charger RT didn't have many options at all besides the performance suspension and driveline. The base cars were pretty straightforward and didn't even have power steering, or bucket seats as a standard feature! no sir, the didn't even come with disc brakes as a standard option. If you check out the below additional cost option list of this car, you will understand that the price new from this particular car is WAY higher than any other base Charger RT. And it makes this car even more desirable and collectible as its very rare to find an RT with that much options originally.

For the 69 Model year, Dodge made a few but significant changes to the car. The front grill became a split centerpiece to make the car look more streamlined and the rear taillight panel was also revised with two sleek dual taillights that sat deep into the car's rear panel and the look really mean and aggressive on the car. The side marker lights were changed as well and other stripe and decals were used. The interior was also upgraded and the seats, console and dash material changed. All in all the 1969 Charger just has a more modern look than its predecessor. We feel the 69 Charger was one of the best looking cars Chrysler ever designed.

The engine's that were available in 68 were more or less the same than in 1969 with the base engine for the Charger being a straight 6 cylinder, than you could choose the 318, a 383 with 2 barrel intake (low-performance version ) and the 383 with 4bbl intake and carb (performance engine) and the famous 440 big block and Hemi 426 as the only two engine options that were available in the RT model. With 375hp and ton's of torque the 440 big block performance engine was fast, and although the street Hemi had 425 factory hp it was also much heavier and didn't outperform the 440 as much as you would expect it to be. No the absolute best buy for your hard earned cash back in those days was the RT 440, it had almost the same performance, but it handled better and was much easier to maintain than its bigger engined brother.

The 1969 Dodge Charger RT was also chosen by many car magazine's and journalist as best and fastest and highest desirable muscle car ever, and not only back in the 70's as even the guys from the famous TV program TOPGEAR, choose this RT as there all time favorite classic muscle car and the fastest one, and this baby has it all and is in flawless condition. The Dodge Charger RT is a real iconic car and maybe even more so today than back in the 60's. The Coke bottle shape design of the body combined with its very luxurious and spacious interior and 375 hp V8 engine, makes these cars stand out by far against other brands a model back in the 60's. So if you are looking for a true RT that's in fantastic and drive/showable condition, this is your car! And don't wait too long as this car will sell for sure. If you like to make a reservation, please contact our sales.

The car has some of the best options you could want on your Charger such as Power disc brakes, power steering, bucket seats with floor shifter and console, Vinyl top, chrome magnum wheel and more. In this rare B5 blue and black detailed color combination it's a rare sight as most chargers were black, red or other nonmetallic colors. This is how a 69 RT should be equipped! Its overall a great & very rare car for a very attractive and interesting price.

  • Guide: Matching numbers

In the collector car hobby, most investment-minded buyers are acutely interested in a specific car’s history. One of the main aspects of that history is an original or, as most people state it, numbers-matching drivetrain. At pedaltothemetal muscecars we feature a plethora of original and numbers-matching classics including ‘Cudas, Road Runners, Chevelles, Camaros, Corvettes and Trans Ams. And, if a potential buyer knows how to properly identify and interpret certain manufacturing codes, they can further validate their car’s history, or on request we can provide it.

  • Vehicle claims and descriptions

Vehicle/product descriptions, representations and claims on or offline are based on what can be seen by the human eye, documentation, previous professional experience, opinion, factory claims, and, or, information passed on to us by previous owners or restorers. It's to the best of our knowledge that everything we advertise has all indications of being that claim. Please inquire as to what documentation we have on the vehicle you are purchasing or feel free to ask any additional questions you might have, But by no means you can accept our answers as facts as the are our interpretation and might not match yours. It is with integrity and honesty that we describe our cars, but they are in fact, up to 50 years old, may have had many previous owners, modifications or alterations that are unknown to the us, so it's not possible to verify everything about every car in detail. Thereby the stated conditions or details of a car can never ever be taken as a fact. As always we welcome personal inspections and or independent appraisers prior to a sale. Incase we speak of "Original" or "Matching numbers" it means that we asume that to be the case, but with old classic cars thats by no means a guarantee. So please feel free to verify that in person or with a third party.

Pttm goes a step further than almost every other seller(s), as we also do a full inspection of our vehicles prior to having them for sale in our showroom and make repairs improvements if needed so. And when a vehicle/product is sold we give it a full service check before you receive it !
